Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information. Effective Mar 2, 2024.

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. When you’re not signed in to a Quickgredients Account, we store the information we collect with unique identifiers tied to the device you’re using. This allows us to do things like maintain your user profile and preferences between sessions, such as your diet or your favorite food businesses.

When you’re signed in, we also collect information that is not stored with your Quickgredients Account, such as location. 

When you create a Quickgredients Account, you provide us with personal information that includes your name, email and a password. Passwords and authentication are stewarded by Google's Firebase service, and all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Emails are used for authentication, to reply to support requests, and to maintain the integrity of referral codes.

We also collect the content you create, upload, or receive from others when using our services. This includes things like support ticket requests, uploaded photos, and review comments you make on food businesses and recommended dishes.

We collect location information when you use our services, which helps us offer features like driving directions to a food business, search results for vendors near you, and ads based on your location.

To prevent your location data from being collected, you can turn your mobile device’s location on or off using the device’s settings app.

 When you’re signed in, you can always review and update information in your account, such as your name, email, photo, diets, and password.

To delete your information, you can:

• Delete specific reviews left for food businesses or recommended dishes.
• Delete your entire Quickgredients account.

Quickgredients allows you to leave reviews on food businesses and recommended menu offerings, wherein each review contains your user profile photo, review content, rating, and date posted. 

Quickgredients also anonymizes your specified diet and shares that information with the food businesses aggregated with other user diets. This informs the businesses on which diets are most frequenting their business so they can make informed menu adjustments.

All subscription payments are handled and processed externally on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store through RevenueCat.

We leverage Google's Firebase security and authentication services to protect your information. This includes:

• Encryption to keep your data private while in transit
• Password protection and authentication
• We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems
• We restrict access to personal information to Quickgredients employees, contractors, and agents who need that information in order to process it. Anyone with this access is subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Quickgredients. This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to:

• The information practices of other companies and organizations that advertise our services
• Services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites they offer that may include Quickgredients services to which the policy applies

We change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the last changes were published. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
